GORAN STOJCETOVIC – Deep drawing

There is no need for drawing talent, willpower and curiosity are enough.

The aim of the guide, drawing sessions of „Deep Drawing“ is not to educate in art and achieve aesthetic and representational skills and qualities, but to purposely provoke working on the psycho-visual contents of individuals in order to stimulate creative potentials.

Goran Stojčetović is an artist who has dedicated his work to researching and understanding the psychological aspect of artistic creation. Through personal artistic practice, he developed a special system, the relational technique of DEEP DRAWING, which he has successfully practiced and developed for several years in work with patients of the Psychiatric Clinic of the Military Medical Academy in Belgrade in cooperation with their expert team of psychologists and psychiatrists. In addition to the fact that the Depth Drawing Art Workshops have significantly contributed to diagnostic and psychotherapy treatment within the regular treatment of patients, they are, in principle, noble for all individuals who want a more direct insight into their content and psychological mechanisms or who simply wish to awaken and initiate their authentic creative potentials and deeper possibilities and thus enrich life.

Goran has had the opportunity to hold workshops in various places in Serbia so far, he has worked in the region – Ljubljana, Skopje, Zagreb, Sarajevo, as well as Paris. In his rich random experience, he has drawn with different groups in different situations – with professional staff, students, journalists, fellow artists, soldiers, children, prisoners. During his numerous artistic and socially engaged activities over the past 20 years, he has drawn and interviewed countless people of different backgrounds and registered several general points in the creative act that many people have in common. Based on this, he devised a system of creative energy transformers through drawing, which is drawn again and again into a person’s daily life and used to develop and strengthen his creative potential, to have a more flexible approach to life and to recognize unconscious visual systems that greatly influence quality, decisions and attitudes in daily life.

In 2013, Stojčetović founded the Art Brut Serbia group and association with the idea to create, support, develop, collect and promote an interesting, different and fresh artistic production through working with people outside the art system. The association has an increasing number of new members.
