PROJEKTOVANA ARHITEKTURA

PROJECTED ARCHITECTURE

The exhibition includes three video works that have been produced within three architecture-related projects: Moving Motel (2015), Pinktograms (2017) and GIF and Architecture: Visual Practice as Critique (since 2014). Moving Motel is documentation of a temporary spatial installation which reproduces a pavilion of a motel built by prominent Yugoslav architect Ivan Vitić. By extending the architect’s technical drawing to a proportion similar to that of the building, now a cultural monument in Croatia, the installation allows this motel to travel to different exhibition spaces, not only to be a static architectural object visited by the guests of the motel.

Pinktograms focus on (late) modernism in Novi Sad, creating graphic pictograms for the most significant objects of this period, as most of them are not present in any tourist guide. A long-term curatorial project GIF and Architecture: Visual Practice as Critique is dedicated to systematizing, preserving, exhibiting and presenting animated GIFs related to architecture and space. The project is carried out though various public programs and an online collection of over 400 works.
